Another Flaw Of BC’s Carbon Tax Appears

May 5, 2008

From the brilliant initiative that charges British Columbians more money to heat homes and fuel cars, then gives them money so that they can afford these new charges, comes yet another flaw.

Individuals and Corporations can get rebates from BC’s Carbon Tax program, but what about School Districts?

The cost of the new carbon tax to local [Prince George] classrooms is estimated to be about $80,000 per year. School officials are writing a letter to the provincial Minister of Finance asking for that money back the way other sectors are being reimbursed for the B.C. carbon pollution initiative.

Well, I hope that the BC Government will fix up this flaw of the Carbon Tax. Then, again, other flaws have been discovered and not corrected.
