Bloggers And Political Conventions

April 11, 2008

Via the Blogging Tories Forum, it seems that the Conservatives are having a Policy Convention this year.

I’d guess that most of you are thinking “so what?”, but here is the interesting thing: the Conservatives are formally accrediting blogs to cover their Convention.

“So what is new?”. It’s been done before. Yeah, but not with a registration form on the official website 7 months in advance.

Maybe other political parties that are having a convention this year should think about doing a similar type of thing.

What! We have to wait 7 months until this government has a policy agenda?

Maybe the NDP should do something similar come November…
