Round One Of The Canadian Blog Awards Begins

January 14, 2008

Just so everybody knows, Round 1 of voting at the Canadian Blogs Awards has begun.

Voting is a little different this year. Instead of being able to vote once a day, one can only vote once per round. This was done for two major reasons. The first was to improve security to reduce freeping. The second was to improve accessibility to the Canadian Blog Awards who are too busy to vote each and every day for their favourite blogs.

Have fun voting.

Oh, and those who can get enough of voting and nominating for their favourite blogs, the new Canadian F-word Blog Awards is now accepting nominations accepting nominations January 25 to February 8.

How about linking to the posts from the voting page in the “best post” category? It’s hard to choose one unless you have a chance to read them.

Just a teensy weensy correction, NBCD — not that I’m in a snit or anything, and I hope you won’t take this personally. I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings, and for sure I don’t want to sound shrill or strident or anything like that, so I hope you’ll forgive me for reading a little more closely than you did — not that I’m out to cause serious defensive panic in anyone of the castratable persuasion, you understand — and it pains me to do this, but maybe you could let people know that nominations for the CFBA are not in fact open yet, and I quote:

Nominations graciously accepted from January 25 to February 8

Time permitting, that’s in the plan. Thank you for the suggestion.

Skdadl, I thought you were going to correct the “can” in the last sentence, with that overwrought buildup.

No problem. I’d rather make sure that it is right. I did write this post very tired in the early morning after working on the CBAs, so that’s why I made the mistake.
